The actress that plays Dr. Sara Tancredi on Prison Break is Sarah Wayne Callies. Callies was born on June 1, 1977 in La Grange, Illinois. At age 1 Callies and her family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. Throughout her youth she expressed an interest in acting.
Callies attended Denver's National Theater Conservatory to pursue her love of acting and to complete her Master of Fine Arts degree. Once finished with school, Callies moved to New York City and secured her first acting role in the drama series "Queens Supreme." Other tv roles include "Law and Order: SVU," "Dragnet," "Numb3ers," and "Tarzan."
When not working, Callies spends as much time possible at home with her husband Josh Winterhalt, playing chess and cooking. They also like to get outdoors and backpack. Besides the next season of "Prison Break" Callies has one more thing to look forward to. Callies and her husband are expecting their first child due late summer 2007.
